I am the villain of my own story…
Jilted by my fiance.
A disappointment to my family.
Haunted by my childhood traumas.
I felt so much all my life that I resolved to feeling nothing at all.
Until I met my match.
As the most infamous mafioso of the 21st century, Dante Salvatore was madly passionate, unequivocally bad, and entirely too dangerous to know. He was everything I abhorred, yet I found myself representing him in the biggest criminal trial of the decade.
I was so focused on winning and achieving the success I deserved that I didn’t notice the gorgeous black-eyed man’s effect on me until it was too late. My icy heart had been held too close to his flame and now I wouldn’t let Dante go down without fighting with everything I had in me.
Even if the cost of a new life with him meant the loss of my old life and everything I thought I held dear.

The Anti-Heroes In Love Duet between Elena Lombardi, criminal lawyer, and Dante Salvatore, New York Capo. It all started with a phone call from her sister and best friend, Cosima, calling to take a case on to be Dante’s lawyer, having just landed himself in jail by saving Cosima’s life basically.
Timeline is roughly one year after The Evolution of Sin ends and calls upon various bits and pieces from Cosima’s storyline. Elena’s future and ending to this book is actually in the epilogue to Sin.
Anti-hero: Between the hero and the villain, there is the anti-hero. A person who may do evil deeds and seem unscrupulous, but who, within their own set of morals, possesses a big heart and the willingness to protect that which they know to be good.
Dante & and Elena skirt the line between love and hate, heroism and bravery. His push and pull leaves her steeling herself, yet faltering with hope, breaking apart her shield. How she slowly, but surely unraveled for him was beautiful, as she became more in tune with her own self, herself as a woman, and the beauty of a woman’s body.
Dante’s POV When it comes to Elena, really opens the reader to the internal workings of Elena actually. In the other books she comes off as the B*ch Ice Queen. In this, you immediately empathize with her. It’s emotionally charged as well with her infertility and what she has gone through, plus goes through.
How beautifully fractured she was and how Dante loved her for it. Bon! The self-sacrifices they both give to each other towards the end lead into an unknown future aka cliffhanger.
