Right off the bat, the storyline throws morals into the street and runs them over, repeatedly. A dark a gritty start and that’s just the first chapter. Had me intrigued immediately with the premise and who, why, etc.
The pieces finally clicked into place for me a little bit into the book! I had read the storyline with Nero and Una a few months ago, Kiss of Death.
Enjoyable read with lots of dark elements as Anna evolves into a strong, resilient, and empowered woman. The path was emotional and tugs at your heart. One of those beautifully tragic written stories.
