Hello Fireworks!

Bring on the bonfires, BBQs and poolside parties! Inside this box I found a few of my beauty faves that will give me some extra sparkle this summer.

Conair ~ Cashmere Headwraps:  Cashmere headwrap duo offering effortless ways to keep hair out of your face and upgrade your ‘do.  Can be worn as a headband or a a tie for ponytails and such.  The surface is smooth until the area in which the two sides of the band are melted / connected together.  This part I have had snag the “baby hairs” at the nape neck’s hairline area plus, due to the material, I can feel it slowly moving backwards on the top of my head.

The biggest issue:  It’s TIGHT and I have a small head!!!!  Solely going to be using this for pony tails if at all.

Not my favorite Scunci by far but, I do enjoy their other versions.  Bonus:  50¢ coupon on the back of the packaging.

e.l.f. ~ Illuminating Mist & Set:  I have never owned any make-up setting sprays but, have been wanting to try them out.  What better way than with e.l.f., one of my favorite beauty lines!  Safe for all skin tones, infused with Vitamin A, C, E and Green Tea to help hydrate, nourish and brighten.  I am on the fence with this though; initial spray usage comes out in droplets vice a fine mist.  While it all dries evenly, the droplets are there and take a bit longer.  I personally would not purchase this one on my own, would rather go for aerator-type misters.

Neutrogena ~ Hydro Boost Water Gel:  Lightweight gel formula with hyaluronic acid that helps hydrate and plump skin without looking oily or greasy.  Absorbs very well into my skin and leaves it looking healthy.  Scent is a sharp floral with a hint of fresh to it; not overpowering but, notably fragrant.

Neutrogena ~ Towelettes:  Dissolves dirt, oil and make-up for clean, fresh skin in one easy step.  Does very well with waterproof mascara and liners with a bit of pointed towelette cleaning.  Leaves skin looking “wet” and refreshed; I truly like these towelettes.  Scent is freshly, floral and is ophthalmologist, dermatologist and allergy tested plus, is alcohol free.

John Freida ~ Frizz Ease Touch-Up Creme:  Secret weapon formula restores silky-softness and natural shine while keeping flyaways and frizz at bay, both of which I get a lot of!  The avocado oil gives this a slight earthy to almost neutral scent.  It works far better than using oils which I normally use.

Secret ~ Clear Gel Deodorant: Quick-dry deodorant with new, reactivating scent technology offers long-lasting odor protection.  I received the “Cool Waterlily” scented sample; floral scented  Secret is my #1 deodorant that actually works with me.  Their clinical is my normal go-to but, also use a couple other versions.  This states “Gel” but, is an invisible solid stick that does go on smoothly without any skin irritations nor flaking.

Que Bella ~ Mud & Peel-Off Mask Duo:  Two masks that nourish, firm and refresh skin with Dead Sea minerals, vitamin C and amino acids.

While the Mud Mask doesn’t really make one look “Que Bella” while in use, it was a great experience.  Easy to apply (I normally apply masks with a specific mask brush I have), no irritations occurred, scent was refreshingly floral, dried well, washed off with no problems and left my skin feeling absolutely wonderful.  I would like to take note that the directions on the back state “Not for use on broken or sensitive skin”.

The Pineapple Peel-Off Mask is tropically scented and was very easy to apply (also used my mask brush).  No irritations occurred while I awaited the twenty minutes; this is also not recommend for use on broken or sensitive skin.

Came off easily and used warm soapy water to remove any residual; love removing peel off masks around my kids ~ it freaks them out thinking my skin is peeling off.

Yeah, I’m weird like that.  Fresh and cleansed; I like this!

ACURE ~ Day Cream:  Lightweight formula with antioxidants and gotu kola helps firm skin and protects from free radicals.  The product I have states for “normal to dry skin” and absorbs very well with no irritations for me.  Lengthy ingredient listing chocked full of fruit, flower and oil extracts leaving a citrus scent that lightly envelopes you.

Psst!  For every full-size purchase, ACURE donates 10¢ to United for HER’s efforts.

Conclusion:  3 out of 5 stars

Two major issues in my opinion:  e.l.f. & Scunci:  By far the worst headband I have ever owned.

The rest of the products I would purchase.
