Target Beauty Box

April 2017

Target came out with two different beauty boxes this month and I decided to splurge and get both.

Say Hello To Peace Of Mind

This box was all about a little rest and relaxation.  Inside this box as the latest obsessions inspired by moments of zen.

La Roche-Posay ~ Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser:  Daily cleanser with ceramide-3 and prebiotic Thermal Water gently cleanses without leaving pore-clogging residue.  I was given the normal to oily skin cleanser.  Made in France.  Scent is slightly astringent but, not enough to bring tears to my eyes.

Sally Hansen ~ Double-Duty Base & Top Coat:  2-in-1 strengthening formula preps and protects with nylon and pro-vitamin B5 for long-lasting, chip-resistant nails.  I have loads of Sally Hansen nail polishes and am a fan.

HASK ~ Argan Oil Repairing Deep Conditioner:  Hydrating argan oil works to restore and soften dry, damaged, chemically treated or over-processed hair.  I have been using argan oil in my hair for a bit over a year now and will never go back to not using it.  Free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten and drying alcohol it works to strengthen, hydrate and restore hair.  Love this!

Dr. Teals ~ Lavender Foaming Bath:  Unwind with essential oils that help soothe the senses, relax tense muscles and provide relief from stress.  Still has pure epsom salt but, also has long-lasting bubbles that gently cleanse.  Scent is strongly lavender and reminds me of Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Castile Soap.

eb5 ~ Facial Cleanser:  Soap-free, non-foaming formula exfoliates with lactic acid and nourishes with oat protein and vitamins E and B5.  Considered hypo-allergenic and was created by pharmacists and approved by dermatologists.  Scent is non-existent and borderline bland; odd sounding I know but, best description I have.

Rimmel ~ Colour Precise White Eyeliner:  Colored liquid liner with super-precise applicator for flawless, highly pigmented lines – bold or fine.  Why Not?  Use this for a new take on the cat eye.  Apply above or below for a bold look.

Banana Boat ~ Dry Balance SPF 30:  Soak up the vitamin D.  SPF 30 with a matte finish makes for smart sun care without shine.  Water resistant for 80 minutes with a gentle and soft floral scent.

Say Hello To Pure & Simple

This box was all about good, clean fun.  They gathered a few of their all-natural, better-for-you ingredients you can feel good about.

SheaMoisture ~ KuKui Nut Facial Cream Cleanser + Face & Neck Cream:  Blend of kukui nut and grapeseed oils delivers youth-infusing vitamins and antioxidants to help protect against aging.  Free from parabens, pthalates, propylene glycol, mineral oil and sulfates.  Hydrate and illuminate with their nutrient rich face and neck cream after cleansing your skin with rich nutrients that will not over dry or strip your skin.

Juice Organics ~ Deluxe-Size Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner:  Volumizes, thickens and promotes healthy hair growth with passion fruit, soy protein and barley protein for fuller hair.  Both are formulated without parabens, silicones, phthalates, sulfates, propylane glycol, artificial colors and synthetic fragrance.  Scent for the conditioner likens to sweet and fruity Skittles due to the passion fruit; the shampoo has a bit more tartness to it.

Burt’s Bees ~ White Tea Extract Cleansing Towelettes:  Infused with white tea extract, calming cucumber and aloe to gently remove dirt, oil and make-up for all skin types however, my pack stated for “Normal Skin”.  Leaves skin feeling hydrated with no residue.  Dermatologist and Ophthalmologist tested.

Hello ~ Extra Whitening Pure Mint Flouride Toothpaste:  Whitens teeth naturally; free of dyes, artificial sweeteners or flavors, microbeads, preservatives and gluten.  I had won their whole line of oral care products several months ago and highly recommend this and their kid toothpastes.  Gentle, cleanses, strengthens, whitens and with no weird after taste too.

Yes To ~ Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Mud Mask:  Made with charcoal to naturally draw out impurities, help fight and prevent acne, and remove excess oil. Leave on for roughly 5 to 10 minutes dependent on thickness then wash off with water.  Leaves facial skin smooth and cleansed. Charcoal, not just for BBQs anymore LOL.

ACURE ~ Pore Clarifying Red Clay Scrub:  Moroccan red clay draws out impurities while black jojoba beads gently exfoliate to reveal clearer, smoother skin.  Two months ago Target had another brand of red clay facial scrub in their Beauty Box and I was in absolute love with it (my first time using red clay).  The scent on this one by ACURE leans heavily on castor oil with a hint of chamomile.

Raw Sugar ~ Lemon Sugar Body Scrub:  Processed with ColdPress Technology and packed with vitamin C, antioxidants and essential oils to cleanse and nourish skin.  Think limoncello and you nailed the scent.  This was in the Target Beauty Box a few months back and I am happy to see its return.  Recommend this gentle, yet effective, body scrub due to it being more aligned with a body wash vice bunch of scrub going down the drain as you try and apply it.

Conclusion:  These boxes were a 5 out of 5 stars across the board
