Goodie Box

I pre-signed up with Daily Goodie Box roughly 6 months before they went live and that was around a year ago when they went live.  Fast forward to present day and I finally got a Goodie Box.  At first they were most notably only sending out “Daily” Goodie Boxes to a very elite group of members; mostly bloggers with a very large following.  The last two months though they expanded their Social Media and are giving out boxes to random members who comment on their posts.

Score one for me!

With that being said, I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with what was in mine.  Of note they send out a box full of not only samples but, actual full-sized items.  Once received and you have had time to test them out, they do ask for you to review on their website.

I give you, to much fan fare, my Daily Goodie Box!

Benecos ~ Natural Lip Gloss:  Color me Praline with this nourishing and natural lip gloss!  Made in Germany with a hint of a metallic sheen when applied.  Left my lips hydrated and with the right amount of natural color and gloss.

Wild Foods ~ CocoTropic:  Enjoy the powerful Wild nutrition in each sip; add two heaping tablespoons to prepared hot water, coffee or tea.  Made with Organic Wild Cacao Powder, Reishi Mushroom Extract, Organic Raw Maca Powder, Mucuna Pruriens Extract and Organic Turmeric.  Experiment with other was of incorporation like MCT Oil, butter, coconute milk, vanilla powder, etc.  This was actually much better than I first assumed; color is cocoa and scent is a nice mild and earthy with hints of cocoa.  Blends very well with smoothies and my kids gave it a thumbs up as do I but, be prepared for it to turn what ever you add it to brown.

Run ~ Performance Gum:  The Smarter Caffeine Kick comes in either Fruit or Mint flavored pieces.  Five times faster caffeine absorption:  1 piece = 50 mg caffeine + 20 mg taurine + B vitamins (B6 = 110% & B12 = 50% DV).  Sugar free, gluten free and zero calories.  The mint, for me, was minty and normal tasting the first minute of chewing but, after that, it tasted like semi-flat diet coke with a hint of mint.  I was only able to chew it once every couple of minutes due to the taste.  I highly recommend chewing these with food in the stomach already and for those with aversions to certain tastes, to steer clear.

Elemental Herbs ~ All Good Skin Food:  Organic Coconut Oil infused with Lemongrass.  Rub all over the body for instant deep moisturizing.  If you live in cooler climates the oil will have a thicker viscosity in which you will have to rub it with warm hands to make it pliable.  However, I live in a much warmer climate so the oil will literally be liquid.  Absorbs well into my skin without feeling oily nor leaving an oily sheen.  Scent is lemongrass without being heady; just right amount of scent in my opinion.

Alsa ~ Flavored Energy Drink Mix:  Vegan and Gluten Free flavors that give you efficient sustained energy; Dragon Fruit, Pomegranate Blueberry and Three Citrus.  To me the powder seems coarser than other mixes I have used however; it still blends well as long as you shake it a lot.  If you do not shake the mix together you will end up with chunks in your beverage.  No fake sweetener aftertaste and they were quite refreshing but, the 100 mg of caffeine did absolutely nothing for me; I was actually sleepy and kept yawning after consumption.

Savant Naturals ~ Savi Crisp:  A dessert protein bar that is gluten free with 7 grams of fiber and 15 grams of protein in chocolate crispy goodness.  I ended up eating this over the course of two days, half each day.  Initial taste for me was enjoyable and half a bar helped tide me over between breakfast and lunch.  The off-set for me was the aftertaste of sweetener.

Gertrude Hawk Chocolates ~ Peanut Butter & Milk Chocolate:  The company was established in 1936 and is still family owned; 100% delicious.  Smooth milk chocolate with pockets of creamy peanut butter gently layered within.  I like the ratio in which there was more chocolate than peanut butter.  I would have a picture but, with three kids and this chocolate-crazy woman, I didn’t think about it until too late.

PipCorn ~ Sea Salt flavored Mini-Popcorn:  As seen on Shark Tank, the shells break up into tiny pieces leaving popcorn that is kind to your teeth.  More popcorn, less air in every 81 calorie bag.  The bag is loaded and I truly enjoyed the whole bag; I thought about sharing with co-workers but, decided to delve into the lightly salted mid-morning snack myself.

Bhakti Chai ~ Yerba Mate Chai:  An artisan blend of yerba mate, black tea, ginger and spices.  Tin can holds 14 silky pyramid tea bags that are 100% biodegradable without strings, tags or overwraps.

Miss Jones ~ Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix:  Organic baking straight into your kitchen in pouch that makes 18 cookies needing only one egg and 6 tablespoons unsalted butter.  Ingredients of Organic Pastry Flour, Organic Fair Trade Dark Chocolate Chips, Organic Dark Brown Sugar, Organic Cane Sugar, Baking Soda, Natural Vanilla Flavor and Sea Salt.  Quick and easy to mix the ingredients together and into rounded tablespoon.  Baking time I noted was roughly two minutes less when compared to regular chocolate chip cookies.  Bake up very soft with a subtle cake-like texture.  I was worried about them tasting too salty but, there is just a tiny hint of it; I am not a fan of salt personally.  I would purchase these on my own, they are quite delicious.
