So long, dry spell!
In Target’s February box I found some of their favorite hair and skin care treats to kick the winter blahs.
Tested and reviewed by yours truly, here is what I received:
Soap & Glory ~ Face Soap & Clarity Face Wash: 3-in-1 daily cleanser made with super fruit yuzu to purify, smooth and brighten skin without drying. This is a clear-blue vitamin C facial gel wash with pink purifying scrubbies. The scent reminds me of my eldest son’s Old Spice deodorant. While it DID leave my facial skin feeling amazing, it is going to my boys due to the scent. Great for all skin types and my boys have loved it so far; no break outs or irritations.
Gliss ~ Ultimate Repair Shampoo & Conditioner: By Schwarzkopf; made in Germany and distributed from Scottsdale, AZ. Cleans and conditions while replacing lost keratin protein to restore strength and prevent future damage. Made to be used for “Ultimate Repair” for heavily damaged hair. The shampoo is very thick compared to my normal shampoos and has a pleasant botanical scent. The conditioner is silky with a more clean scent when compared to the accompanying shampoo. Left my hair feeling thicker due to the automatic coating from the keratin. I would purchase the larger bottles of these in a heart beat
Raw Sugar ~ Coconut & Mango Body Wash: Natural, cold-pressed coconut and mango offer nutrition-rich vitamins and enzymes to brighten and soothe skin. I admit I thought this was supposed to be slightly scrubby but, am pleased with the gentle and ultra-lather body wash it is. Scent reminds me of vanilla sugar.
W3LL People ~ Expressionist Mascara Mini: Nourishes with a synergistic botanical blend for bold, fluffy lashes. 100% cruelty, coal tar and aluminum free.
Sun Bum ~ Sunless Self-Tanning Towelette: Exfoliates and moisturizes to help skin’s proteins and amino acids produce a natural, sunless tan.
Masque Bar ~ Hydrating Face Mask: Long-lasting formula made with aloe, collagen and vitamin E hydrates skin for a youthful glow. The picture depicted on the packaging is a far cry from what it is; a green tinged gel you slap on, dry for 15 minutes and peel off. Scent has a bit of isopropyl to it in my opinion. Contains cucumber extract, red ginseng root extract and jasmine extract. I decided to do my forehead, nose and chin vice an all over; easy to remove and cleanse with water after. Skin did feel quite rejuvenated.
L’Oreal Paris ~ Pure Clay Masks: Trio of clay masks, including purifying eucalyptus (Skin Concern: Oily & Shiny), detoxifying charcoal (Skin Concern: Dull & Tired) and exfoliating red algae (Skin Concern: Rough & Clogged). I decided to try out the red algae first because I had never tried out this type before. Hands down ~ amazing! Softly exfoliated as I applied, dried within 15 minutes and I dampened my hands and scrubbed it off in the shower. Scent is fragrant and is listed as such so, if you have sensitive skin you may want to steer clear of this. I absolutely love it and each pack holds enough to enjoy the mask twice.
