UpTown Cosmeceuticals

UpTown Cosmeceuticals

Another San Diego, California-based (starting to be a theme among all the beauty products I have tested out) beauty brand with a vision to improve skin health by providing natural, as well as, advanced skincare backed by science; San Diego is a central hub for science, beauty products and medical advancements.  The company searches for and uses wonderful antioxidants and pure actives and their ingredient structure to create a line of  products vastly ranging from Eyelash Growth Serums (review here) to anti-aging and creams for various skin issues.

Hot Cream

AKA Cellulite & Muscle Relief

To use as an anti-cellulite, simply apply hot jelly to the affected areas twice daily. It will be absorbed into the skin; did you know our skin can absorb around 60% of what is placed on it. The ingredients start breaking down the fat cells, leaving a supple and more toned skin. For muscle relaxation, apply liberally to tight muscles. Avoid eyes and mucus membranes. Wash your hands after application; trust me, you do not want to just rub your hands on a towel thinking it’s alright.

This can be used twice a day; it is recommended to use twice daily for benefits also. I use it for tight muscles, relaxation or as an anti-cellulite gel.  In a nut shell?  Think of Icee Hot when it starts absorbing, hence why it is called “Hot Cream”.  While it does have the slight menthol scent (see ingredient listing below) the blend of herbs and essential oils lends the basil to be at the forefront.  The color orange is naturally occurring and sometimes the essential oils will cause the gel to cloud up.  The viscosity of the gel is akin to warmed pudding; not runny yet, not stiffly gelatinous.  Disclosure:  I received the Hot Cream discounted from UpTown however; this in no way influenced my review and I chose to write this review with no obligation to do so. I only write honest reviews regardless of whether I purchased a product at full price, at a discount, or received it free.
