Acrylic Paints

Acrylic Paints By Arteza

The last set of acrylic paints I got were not only half in number compared to this set of acrylics by Arteza but, had the wrong colors in their labeled plastic tubes.  This set of acrylic paints has 24 colors that cover a good spectrum of bold colors and come in 0.4 ounce aluminum tubes vice plastic.

The one negative point is that I do wish this set would have come with two white and two black acrylics to be able to make a lot of the lighter and mixed colors we like to use.  For example there are five different tones of yellow but, no purple.  The set primarily sticks to blues, greens, browns, yellows and reds.  Extra white and black would have helped branch out in my opinion.

The colors do flow very well from the tubes; flip the lid to pierce the aluminum film on top of the openings.  The paints are water-based, non-toxic and are ASTM D-4236 and EN71-3 (CE) certified; precautionary labels for art materials to provide chronic health hazard and precautionary statements based on knowledge that exists in the scientific and medical communities.  These acrylics are perfect for painting on any mediums to include canvas, wood, fabric and paper.

We have been using acrylics on canvas and outdoor wood projects and after drying the paints have shown no signs of cracking.  The colors have also stayed true after drying and absorption has occurred.  This was primarily a gift to my eldest son who is truly into art and has been wanting to try his hand at painting.  This was and is the perfect set for beginners to start with and professionals to fill any gaps in the color spectrums of yellow, blue, green, brown and red; fills in the gaps for those at least.  I plan on purchasing other white and black acrylics in a larger container though to help fill in the rest of the missing colors to broaden out his array.

Disclosure: I received these acrylic paints acrylic paints discounted however; this in no way influenced my review. I chose to write this review and was under no obligation to do so. I only write honest reviews regardless of whether I purchased a product at full price, at a discount, or received it free.
